A professor once told me, “Tracey, you’ve never met a word you haven’t liked . . .”
That’s true! I find immense joy in writing and that love of language served me well as an academic. I spent over a decade teaching and working as a college professor and higher education administrator. In my late twenties, I went back to school to pursue a doctoral degree. The educators in my Ph.D. program gave me unending support to research and publish. After completing the program in 2015, I became a freelance editor specializing in academic manuscripts—dissertations, theses, non-fiction book chapters, and curricula.
More recently, I have turned my attention to completing my first full-length fiction novel. I began writing the story in 2020. For the past year, I have been editing the book.
In the next few months, I will share a free excerpt of the prologue and the first chapter. To receive it, please join my mailing list here.
